The team behind the 990 set out to create the ultimate running shoe available. The 990v6, made in USA, fully embraces this goal by implementing several performance-oriented upgrades. Diverging from its predecessors, the upper removes the midfoot saddle to allow the pigskin and synthetic overlays to smoothly span from heel to toe over the mesh underlay, giving it a streamlined and aerodynamic look. The most notable improvement, however, lies beneath the surface. The addition of FuelCell midsole cushioning in the 990's evolution is both visible and tangible.
